Quality valve cover gaskets should be replaced regularly to prevent oil leaks.  Fits Type 1 and 3 engines, except early 25hp and 36hp models.  Extras are always nice  to have on hand!

When changing your engine oil, inspect and clean your strainer when removing your drain plate.  Sometimes the strainers can get bent or damaged and require replacement.  This one fits late buses or 914's with the Type 4 engine.

We use these genuine BOSCH spark plugs for engines with the stock VW cylinder heads, and have for many years. They work excellent. These are the 1/2" reach and have the standard 14mm threads to fit stock style cylinder heads.

Some aftermarket Type 1 heads, and even some of the VW factory heads (such as those manufactured in Mexico), came with longer reach (3/4") spark plugs that have the stock 14mm hole diameter in them. All Type 4 engines also utilize this design....
