This is the bracket that is spot welded to the tunnel under your shifter that holds your shift rod bushing. If your shift rod bushing has been worn out too long, it can cause the hole in this bracket to oval out. When this happens, there's no real fix, other than to replace the bracket.

Grub screw holds the shift coupler to the transmission gearshift selector (hockey stick).  Don't forget to run a piece of wire through the hole and around it to keep it from backing out!

When changing your clutch cable, be sure to check your bowden tube.  If kinked or worn, it will rub through your new cable and cause it to bind.  Fits all Type 1 and 3, and buses '67 and earlier.

It's a good idea to replace the wing nut on the clutch cable when you replace the cable. Often it is chewed up, stripped, or binds. When it is, it is a real pain to get on an off or make adjustments. Lube the threads before installing.
